Due to Mrs Hann and Mrs Lock being away at the end of last term, the Y3 Parent Consultation meetings have now been re-arranged and will be held as follows:
Year 3 have returned from an action packed 3 days at the PGL centre in Tregoyd, Brecon, Powys…..
‘After a long drive in the sunshine, we arrived to a warm welcome from the staff, who helped us up to our rooms with our rather heavy bags! We sat down to the first of many delicious cooked meals, everyone was excited about our first activity which was soon to follow.
Over the 3 days we experienced activities such as quad biking, aeroball, trapeze, rifle shooting, archery, zipwire, abseiling and climbing. Every child made an extra effort to better their previous attempt and came away with a great feeling of achievement.
They engaged in a positive way with all the challenges that were given to them, returning home a little more grown up and definitely more confident!’
Our Y3 children are looking forward to their residential trip to Tregoyd, Powys leaving on Wednesday 20 April and returning Friday 22 April 2016. A kit list has been issued, if you do not have a copy please contact the school office. Your child will need a sleeping bag and pillow and also a waterproof coat. If you have any questions please come and speak to Mrs White, who is organising this event.
Thank you to those that joined us last night for the E-Safety session! I hope you all found it as useful as we did. We have listed below some of the useful links that we were told about:
Dove Films – campaign for real beauty (looking at body image and the magic of air brushing!)
Common sense media – this is a website (looking at ratings, why is it an 18?)
