Start date: 1 September 2017

We are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated individual to work alongside our SENCO. The role will include day to day administrative duties such as attending meetings, writing reports and preparing applications and referrals, as well as supporting pupil premium and more vulnerable pupils in a pastoral role.

We are looking to appoint a highly skilled and competent ICT Technician to manage our computer systems, ICT suite and classroom provisions. You will have a good command and understanding of ‘IT world’ and be able to keep the school at the forefront of technology.

The successful applicant will have a computer based background either through qualifications, previous jobs and / or passion. They will also need to be able to work effectively within a strong school staff team as well as with children aged 4-11 years.

Grade 15: £14,975 – £16,191 pro rata (£7.76 – £8.39 per hour)

Start date: 4 January 2017

Birchfield Primary School requires a SEN Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Lower KS2. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working with individual(s) with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder, however training will be provided.

The successful candidate will:

  • help adapt the curriculum for the pupil,
  • carry out 1:1 intervention programmes,
  • track and monitoring progress for the individual
  • work closely with the class teacher, parents, SENCO and on occasions professionals from external agencies
  • display a range of attributes including personal organisation, initiative, enthusiasm and a caring nature

The person appointed would be expected to work collaboratively with the SENCO along with many other members of staff and will be fully supported in the day to day role.

The position is for 10 hours per week , 12.00pm to 2.00pm Monday – Friday, term time only.

We are looking for an individual who can assist in providing an effective and efficient catering service. Your main duties will include:

  • To wash crockery, kitchen equipment and utensils either by hand or operating the dishwasher.
  • Cleaning of the kitchen including equipment, work surfaces, floors and walls and emptying bins.
  • Basic preparation of food and assisting with cooking of meals.

You must be motivated, hardworking and have a passion to deliver a high quality service.

A massive well done to Hollie Neill who came 8th in the Women’s Discus Throw at the Rio 2016 Paralmypic games. Hollie’s throw reached a distance of 23.13 metres.

The Paralympic Games!

One of our staff, Miss Holly Neill, is currently in Rio preparing for the Paralympics where she will be representing the GB Team in the discus! Holly last year worked in the Pre-School as an Assistant and when she returns in September, she will be supporting the learning in the Reception classes.

As a school we are delighted that we have such a talented athlete on the staff and wish her all the very best in the Games. Her event is Thursday 15th at 9.40pm.
