Grade 13: actual salary £11,918 – £13,505 (£17,772 – £20,138 FTE) (18/19 pay award pending)

Immediate start. 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday (term time only). Permanent.

We are looking to appoint a Finance Assistant, main duties to include:

  • Placing orders, ensuring delivery and paying invoices
  • Processing the petty cash claims
  • Counting and recording income received
  • Monitor and oversee budget
  • Pupil attendance registers
  • HR and payroll related duties
  • Undertake general office duties

You will have a minimum 5 GCSE’s grade C and above (of which 2 will be English and Maths). A-levels / NVQ qualification in accounting / finance an advantage.

The successful applicant will have a computer based background either through qualifications, previous jobs and / or passion. They will also need to be able to work effectively within a strong school staff team as well as with children aged 4-11 years.

Birchfield Primary School requires a SEN Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with children in KS2. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working with individual(s) with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder, however training will be provided.

  • help adapt the curriculum for the pupil,
  • carry out 1:1 intervention programmes,
  • track and monitoring progress for the individual
  • work closely with the class teacher, parents, SENCO and on occasions professionals from external agencies
