At Birchfield School we place the greatest importance on your child’s safety and welfare. Our Child Protection Policy is updated and reviewed annually by our Governing Body.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mr Culham (Headteacher) and in his absence, Mrs Parker (Deputy Headteacher). Any concerns raised will be followed up by them.

Other staff trained to Level 2 safeguarding are Miss Walker (Assistant Headteacher),  Sarah Cox (PFSA) and Danielle Barter (Pastoral Lead).

At the pre-school Mrs Lucy Mitchelson is safeguarding Lead and Mrs Anne Peapell is Deputy.  Any concerns raised will be followed up by them and discussed with Mr Culham.

Staff are aware of our policy and procedures and receive regular updates and training.
