8.30am – 3.30pm – 5 days per week (Mon – Fri – 32.5 hours per week, which includes 30 mins lunchtime cover per day)
LSA Grade 15: £15,375 – £16,491 pro rata (£7.96 – £8.54 per hour) (18/19 pay award pending)

Birchfield Primary School requires a SEN Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with children in KS1. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working with individual(s) with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder, however training will be provided.
The successful candidate will:
- help adapt the curriculum for the pupil,
- carry out 1:1 intervention programmes,
- track and monitoring progress for the individual
- work closely with the class teacher, parents, SENCO and on occasions professionals from external agencies
- display a range of attributes including personal organisation, initiative, enthusiasm and a caring nature
The person appointed would be expected to work collaboratively with the SENCO along with many other members of staff and will be fully supported in the day to day role.

Our annual Birchfield Tournament is taking place here on Thursday 24 May 2018 from 4 pm. This is a football and netball event with many local schools taking place. This is an annual event and it would be lovely to see parents, carers, family and friends supporting the children in this event.
Our school fete is being held on Saturday 30 June 2018 commencing at 12 noon. Further details will be sent our nearer the event but please put this date in your diary and we look forward to you joining us at our annual event which is run by FoBS
6 of our Y5 pupils, accompanied by Mr Culham and Miss Lilley, have gone to Italy for a week as part of the Erasmus project. They are having a great time away and have already visited Pompeii, Sorrento, a railway museum, a turtle conservation project, a school and there are more exciting things to come.
Here are some photos from the recent Year 3 residential trip to Cornwall. It was also one of our students birthday while we were there and celebrated with cake!

On Friday 20 April 2018, children are invited to wear non-school uniform in exchange for a donation of £1 to support FoBS fundraising efforts which will go towards creating some amazing prize hampers for their bingo event on Friday 27 April.
